Subject: SPED Colloquium Invitation: Dr. Elizabeth Kelly, November 15th 2pm-3pm

The UO Special Education and Clinical Sciences Department invites your attendance at a Colloquium provided by Dr. Elizabeth Kelly, BCBA-D.

Monday, November 15, 2021

2:00pm - 3:00pm

Face to face in HEDCO 230T or via zoom (link below)

For those unable to attend, the talk will be recorded, and a link shared after the presentation.

Dr. Kelly's talk will focus on three topics related to curriculum development and teaching approaches that support graduate student learning in an online applied behavior analysis course sequence. First, she will share an integrated approach to online course design rooted in behavioral and adult learning principles, as well as relevant course materials exemplifying the application of these principles. Next, she will provide information about her diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts in teaching, service, and research, with an emphasis on the DEI curriculum she is iteratively co-developing alongside several other Applied Behavior Analysis faculty members at the University of Washington. Finally, she will share her scholarly agenda with suggestions for how research experiences with coaching and training may be well-suited to supporting master's level student capstone projects. There will be a question and answer session following the talk and an opportunity to provide your feedback.

This Colloquium is part of an on campus interview for a C-NTTF Lecturer or Senior Lecturer for the proposed Online Master's Degree Program in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) within the Special Education Program, which is funded through the UO Provost Office for Online Initiatives and the College of Education.

If you have interest in meeting one on one with Dr. Kelly, we have a time for faculty, staff, or students to drop in for a brief meeting on Monday Nov. 15 from 1 - 1:30 pm (HEDCO 230T). Please reach out to Wendy Machalicek wmachali at uoregon.edu<mailto:wmachali at uoregon.edu> (search chair) for any questions or meeting requests.
