Please see below for upcoming travel education opportunities and UO Contracted Travel Agency availability during the winter holiday season.

*       Concur/Travel Roundtable

      The UO Travel Office hosts a monthly Concur Roundtable for Concur travel delegates and travelers on the first Wednesday of each month. It's an opportunity to meet your peers and share best practices, stay informed about changes and updates, and provide feedback related to Concur and UO travel.

Date: Wednesday, December 4th, 2024  **  Time: 11:00 AM to Noon

      I am sure you have heard the saying, "Measure Twice, Cut Once" and December's Travel Roundtable will be dedicated to this idea as it applies to the trip planning process! Taking the time to know what the traveler needs for their trip and having plans in place for how to reserve and purchase these items will be a time saver when using Concur Request and Booking Tool, working with the travel agent, and creating the expense report. Please join the Travel Office team as we explore the right questions to ask during the pre-travel planning process to scout out the pitfalls and make a plan (or two). Feel free to bring your ideas to share with your peers!
      Topics include:
*       Knowing the full picture-thinking through your trip to identify your needs
*       I plan to travel for business, what do I do first?
*       Request to Booking Tool or Booking Tool to Request?
*       Why am I being asked to create another Request? What to do when you end up with two Requests and how to avoid this pitfall
*       Traveling with UO Colleagues, students, or a large group? Making a plan for lodging, meals, and ground transportation (and keeping your documentation clear)
*       How to work with an outside institution who will be paying for a UO staff member's business travel
