Subject: Training Opportunity - Adaptive Interventions in Education
Hi Danette,
At the d3center<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/d3c.isr.umich.edu__;!!C5qS4YX3!F-kyjH1dCd-a3hMr_01GbGF1fZ2qOhrwLbE8C7aDtIGSPBoV7EL91rhfHLjF5kvAKO3L2Wl61TTrgsAdRA$>, we're preparing to select the next cohort of education science scholars for CATIE, our IES-funded Comprehensive Program for Adaptive Interventions Training in Education<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/catie.space/apply__;!!C5qS4YX3!F-kyjH1dCd-a3hMr_01GbGF1fZ2qOhrwLbE8C7aDtIGSPBoV7EL91rhfHLjF5kvAKO3L2Wl61TQ4uM0aGQ$>. Each winter, CATIE Fellows complete a rigorous course in the design, funding, conduct, and analysis of novel experimental designs for optimizing adaptive interventions—including SMART designs<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/d3c.isr.umich.edu/intervention-designs/adaptive-interventions/*smart__;Iw!!C5qS4YX3!F-kyjH1dCd-a3hMr_01GbGF1fZ2qOhrwLbE8C7aDtIGSPBoV7EL91rhfHLjF5kvAKO3L2Wl61TSU4IayaQ$>.
CATIE aims to support fellows as they develop initial research concepts into strong proposals for submission to a federal sponsor such as IES or NIH. The program's centerpiece is a three day, in-person training in Ann Arbor led by experts<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.catie.space/presenter-profiles__;!!C5qS4YX3!F-kyjH1dCd-a3hMr_01GbGF1fZ2qOhrwLbE8C7aDtIGSPBoV7EL91rhfHLjF5kvAKO3L2Wl61TRbxFYfCA$> in the design of adaptive intervention studies in education settings. This cycle, the in-person training will take place February 21-23, 2024. Prospective fellows can learn more about this training opportunity at catie.space/apply<https://urldefense.com/v3/__http:/catie.space/apply__;!!C5qS4YX3!F-kyjH1dCd-a3hMr_01GbGF1fZ2qOhrwLbE8C7aDtIGSPBoV7EL91rhfHLjF5kvAKO3L2Wl61TS65IFHpA$>. The deadline for applications is November 6th.
We're reaching out with an ask—will you share this call for applications with any researchers in Prevention Science who may be interested in this opportunity? You can forward this email, or visit our CATIE Media Kit<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/drive.google.com/drive/folders/1S4BuYSwrGq2hbUqrG27zynIjyhxBpE3d?usp=share_link__;!!C5qS4YX3!F-kyjH1dCd-a3hMr_01GbGF1fZ2qOhrwLbE8C7aDtIGSPBoV7EL91rhfHLjF5kvAKO3L2Wl61TR7JfVPqw$> for ready-to-use newsletter and social media content.
We appreciate your help! Furthering our reach during the application process helps us ensure that CATIE supports the growth of a diverse group of scholars whose research will impact outcomes in a wide range of education settings.
All the best,
Ian
