A reminder of Hiro Yoshikawa's Leona Tyler invited presentation next Friday, October 14th, from 2:30-4 pm at the Ford Lecture Hall, Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art. Reception to follow. Hiro leads some of the best implementation work on early childhood interventions across the globe, and is an inspiring presenter. Please spread the word to your students and to others across the university to attend.

Dear COE faculty and staff,

Please join us October 14th, from 2:30-4 pm, for Dr. Hirokazu Yoshikawa's presentation entitled, "Improving the Quality of Early Childhood Education in the Context of the UN Sustainable Development Goals."

Dr. Yoshikawa is the Courtney Sale Ross Professor of Globalization and Education and University Professor at New York University Steinhardt. His presentation will describe recent developments and data concerning quality in Early Childhood Education and its improvement in the United States and internationally, with a focus on the global policy context, quality improvement in studies from Boston and Santiago de Chile, and a new global initiative to assess learning and quality in low- and middle-income countries. Reception to follow.

We anticipate this to be a session of high relevance to our research and educational goals in the COE, including a focus on implementation science in national and international contexts. Hope to see you there!
