Good afternoon IACUC Community,

We need to let you know about some upcoming changes in the IACUC
office. Carissa Callihan will be leaving her position with Animal Welfare
Services. While I am sad to see her go, I am excited for her to pursue a new
opportunity. Please read her note below. Carissa started working with
Terrestrial Animal Care Services and the IACUC when she was a UofO student
and joined the team in 2015 as our office specialist. She quickly became a
big asset as her technical expertise helped to facilitate the transition
from a paper protocol system to an electronic one via eAPM. I have been so
grateful for her dedication and helpful attitude as we've navigated a
"post-Monte" era in the AWS office. So thank you and good luck to Carissa!

Hello All,

I hope you're all doing well and enjoying your summer!

I wanted to let you know that I'll be leaving my position in the AWS, RCS
and Research office here at UO mid-August.

While I'm excited for the new opportunity ahead of me in UO CAS, leaving UO
Research, where I have spent most of my time at UO and all of the amazing
research community is definitely bittersweet. It has been enjoyable to get
to know so many through my work with the Animal Facility and Animal
Committee work. I wish nothing but the best for all of you moving forward,
with ongoing research and the new system. Thank you again for making my time
here so memorable and enjoyable. I will genuinely miss what feels like my
first home at UO.

Please don't hesitate to let me know if there are any loose ends you would
like me to work on before I leave, and the <mailto:iacuc at uoregon.edu>
iacuc at uoregon.edu email will continue to be the main contact email for any
concerns for the IACUC office.

Best,
Carissa
