Good day Dr. Jen Doty,

My Name is Gilberto Orozco, I go by Gibbs, I am a previous student of the FHS program at UofO and now a Case Manager for Lane County DDS. I reached out to Professor Chronister to hopefully see if there was an opportunity to fulfill a request from our Hispanic/IDD community members to invite someone from the FHS program to provide an informational presentation related to safe sex practices for the IDD community (sexuality, how to protect themselves from STIs, healthy relationships, etc)

One of my colleagues leads a parent support group at the Arc of Lane County and they meet monthly with different presenters speaking about topics that parents are requesting. They have been needing to find more presenters and I thought that maybe there are some interested students who would like to have some experience leading some of their presentations and providing some education for families in our community to have.

Please let me know if this is a possibility.

Hello Professor Chronister,

I wanted to reach out to see if you where able to help point me towards the right direction. My name is Gilberto Orozco, I go by Gibbs. I was in one of your FHS research classes during the pandemic. I now work for Lane County as a Case Manager for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. I recently took an additional position to sub in as a bilingual specialist and one of our team members reached out to brainstorm any ideas on how to provide information to families in the IDD community learn about safe sex practices. I was wondering if there are any students who where passionate about the subject and have some hours they needed to complete for their degree or just someone who is interested in taking this on this task. I am not 100% sure on how this all works but maybe you can point me to the right direction to figure this out.

The one thing to note is that this is for Spanish Speaking Families so the presenter/volunteer would need a Spanish speaker or someone to translate information.
