Hello Community Member,

Looking Glass Counseling Program is hosting a liberation series and I thought I would share with you to see if you or others you or others in your organization might be interested in participating.

The Liberation Series is a series of groups for providers in the community that will focus on conversations and working with material connecting us to the root of the healing work we do. This round will be processing the book Decolonizing Therapy by Dr. Jennifer Mullan over 10 weeks. This is a space for therapists, social service providers and any staff that interact with clients; we're all part of the therapeutic process.

We will have two cohorts (up to 8 folks in each), a. folks wanting connection and resourcing as a result of the experience of marginalization and b. folks needing to build stamina and do less harm. It is participants' choice which group to attend, and once the groups have started, that is the group for this round to help build a supportive container together. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to discuss which group would be of greater interest to you.

Who: Social service providers

When: Tuesdays at 9-10:30a (for the group focused on building racial stamina)

or 10:30-12:00p (for the group focused on building resiliency)

February 17th-April 21st (10 sessions)

Where: Counseling program at 260 E 11th Ave

For folks outside of Looking Glass Counseling Program:

Cost is $180 and will need to obtain a copy of the book

Let us know of cost is a barrier to you, we are open to sliding scale fees

10 CEUs available

Parking available for free on 12th or High, or metered parking on 11th

Please RSVP to this email to check in with space and reserve your spot!

Also, please forward and share this invitation to your organizations/communities!

We are really excited to offer this Liberation Series and hold a space that is nurturing growth in our understanding of systems of harm, healing, and repair. Please send any questions you have to Felix.Hart at LookingGlass.us<mailto:Felix.Hart at LookingGlass.us>.

In community,
Alex, Amanda, Felix, Heather, Joanna, and Sarai (your facilitation team!)
