Subject: csws_affiliates: Intersectional theory in psychology RIG

Dear all,

We are hosting a Research Interest Group funded by CSWS this term. This reading group will focus on intentional discussions of intersectional theory in psychology. More information about the schedule is available in the attached document. While this RIG is focused on discussions in the field of psychology, you do not need to be a psychology student or faculty to join! We encourage anyone interested in engaging across disciplines to come and join us for discussions.

If you are interested in attending (you can drop in on any date), please fill out this survey<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/oregon.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9uGFg3sSjEw90Sa__;!!C5qS4YX3!BxBFgSC2LoEB_t975YcdbhPl9ZBfh1aUUzSoPAJN0gO3TbTf6ZgmFC3k-xFrO2IypicTmyP1_YMCgKNodQs$> with your email so we can avoid using the listserv for reading group-specific announcements.

This research group is centered on intersectionality frameworks across psychology. This is meant to be a very low-stakes environment where we can explore a particular theory in psychology and practice reframing research through theoretical rather than methodological means.

This group will meet in Straub 257 on Wednesdays during even weeks from 4-5pm. Our first meeting will be on April 8. We hope to see you there! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us. This group is open to all students, faculty, staff, etc. Please feel free to share this with any colleagues who may be interested.

Best,
Chanel and Gretchen
