cpsylist: announcement

Greetings CPSY faculty and students—

I would like to announce that after serving in the CPSY program director role for over 4 years, Dr. Benedict McWhirter will be stepping down from this role at the end of this academic year.  I want to thank Benedict for all of his work in the CPSY program over many years.  He has been a dedicated leader for Counseling Psychology, and has implemented many new processes and procedures that have improved our doctoral program for both faculty and students as he continually focused on enhancing student development and training.  As some of you may know, he started on and off in this role in 1997—mixing in 8 years as department head along the way, with many other service roles at the UO.

Benedict will continue in the role of Undergrad Council chair and de facto FHS program director next year, and I am thankful for his leadership in these roles.
