cpsylist: Gen. University Scholarship letters

Dear Student Colleagues,

If you have asked faculty to write letters for you for a general university scholarship, please be sure that:

(a) you filled in all of the information possible on the required form
(b) you SIGNED the required form
(c) you gave the required form to the person from whom you asked a letter
(d) you actually follow through and submit your application
(e) ALL OF THE ABOVE (this is the correct answer)

Writing letters, even when we have a prior letter we've written for you, takes time. We are glad to write letters for you, and it is also true that it creates unnecessary stress when we sit down to write that letter and materials are missing.

On another note, be sure to attend today's colloquium by Dr. Rachel Fusco, a candidate for a tenure track position in our department!
