coe-staff: COE Professional Responsibilities Policy OtP Review

Dear COE Faculty and Staff,

The Office of the Provost (OtP) has recently conducted a review of college level Professional Responsibilities policies to ensure alignment with current CBA language and expectations. We have been notified that the COE Professional Responsibilities policy received minor edits.


Professional Responsibilities policies have been updated by the Office of the Provost to align with the most current CBA. Template language was added regarding workloads and assignment of workloads, provisions for development plans, as well as teaching loads and overloads.... No changes were made to the language your unit added to the template in the last review process.

A tracked-changes version of the policy is attached. The updated policy has been posted to the COE website<https://coedocs.uoregon.edu/assignment-of-professional-responsibilities-faculty-workload/>. Given that these are required changes made by the OtP in alignment with the CBA, these edits do not require a COE faculty vote.
