coe-staff: Promotion Policies submitted

The following message is shared on behalf of Emily Tanner-Smith, PhD, College of Education Dean:



Dear College of Education Faculty and Staff,



Thank you again to COE faculty for their thoughtful development and review of the COE TTF and CF Promotion Policies, Teaching Rubric, and the Career Faculty Criteria Matrix. I enjoyed the opportunity to carefully read through the materials that faculty have been immersed in developing over these past months. I found the policies to be clear and a positive evolution in structure and guidance that I believe will continue to assist faculty as they advance in their professional growth. I used this opportunity to consider some of the remaining concerns that were shared with me following your most recent faculty reviews and made some minor edits with the goal of refining clarity.



My suggested edits, that were submitted to the Office of the Provost (OtP) in advance of today's April 15 deadline, are attached. The OtP now has up to 60 days to conduct their final review of the policies and materials. We expect to have information about our final policy at the beginning of Fall Term 2026. Until that time, we continue to operate under our existing policies.
