Updates and Upcoming
University Day is THIS Thursday May 15
Please join us on Thursday, May 15th on University Day to spruce up the grounds around our buildings, rain or shine. Although our official sign up has concluded, feel free to join us!  From 10:30 am – noon, we’ll be focusing on the HEDCO Courtyard/Clinic area and the immediate front of the building.  From 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm, we’ll be focusing on the University High Courtyard and the Wiggins Memorial Garden.

University Day is a campus-wide beautification event that takes place each spring. Hundreds of students, staff and faculty gather together to plant flowers, spread bark dust, dig weeds, and generally show that we care about campus. The tradition dates back to 1904 to prepare the university grounds for commencement ceremonies. Though University Day has evolved since then, it’s a great way to have fun and work with other people from the COE outside of the office.  Some gardening tools and gloves will be supplied. If you have a favorite gardening tool, please feel free to bring your own.


Ducks Give 2025 is THIS Thursday, May 15!
The COE Development team will be in the HEDCO lobby from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on May 15. Stop by to say hello, learn how your gift makes a difference, and help us reach our Ducks Give goal! Don’t miss your chance to get a photo with the UO Duck—who will be stopping by from 10:00 to 10:15 am!

COE End-of-the-Year Faculty/Staff Meeting
We will be holding our final faculty/staff meeting of the year on Friday June 6th  2025 (2:00 – 3:30 pm in HEDCO 220) followed by our annual picnic at 4pm!

COE Career Faculty | 2025-26 Promotion Info Session
Career faculty are invited to attend an information session about promotion on Friday, May 30th from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm in HEDCO 230T/Zoom (lunch provided!). Learn about the promotion process and timelines for AY 2025-26, elements of the career faculty promotion file, and resources for preparing your promotion materials. Although information will be targeted to COE career faculty who are eligible for promotion review in 2025-26, all career faculty are welcome to attend.
