Dear COE Community,
It’s been an unusual start to the year, but we are beginning to thaw out and (hopefully) find our regular cadence. I want to extend appreciation to the group of faculty leaders who joined our COE leadership team yesterday for Althea Banda-Hansmann’s workshop on “Leading and Transforming Through Conflict.” Our group enjoyed the thoughtful session and came away inspired to better understand conflict as a normal part of change and leverage our strengths to transform in these challenging moments. Incidentally, Althea Banda-Hansmann is giving the invited lecture tonight in the African American Workshop and Lecture Series<https://inclusion.uoregon.edu/2023-24-african-american-workshop-and-lecture-series> on campus. I hope to see some of you there!
In addition to happenings in the COE, there are a variety of upcoming talks and meetings happening around campus. I encourage you to read on and attend those that interest you! It is through connections and real engagement that we grow.
Warmly,
Laura Lee
