Hello,
The email below was sent to all COE students this morning, providing details about the COE Commencement. Please let me know if there are any questions.

For those programs hosting internal receptions for students prior to the June 20th ceremony, the university would like to make sure that none of these are held on the Juneteenth holiday. They may be held June 5 - June 9 or June 12 - June 16. If you are having a reception, please let me know. We'll keep a list at our SAS front desk for anyone who calls with questions.

Last year, we found a couple of ways to make the COE ceremony unique to us with the addition of a Mariachi band and a Native American blessing. If you have any suggestions for this year, please let me know.

Thanks,
Lisa

Subject: COE 2023 Commencement Ceremony

Hello,
This information is going out to all COE students to provide information about commencement activities. Congratulations to those who are graduating! The main UO Commencement Ceremony and the College of Education Commencement Ceremony will both be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.

COE Ceremony
Our COE ceremony, where you walk across the stage and have your name read, will take place on the South Lawn behind Knight Library from 1:00-2:30 pm on Tuesday, June 20. Because there is plenty of seating, no tickets are necessary and you can have as many family and friends attend as you wish. However, we would like you to RSVP for the ceremony so we can gather some information about how many graduating students will be participating. Please click here<https://oregon.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_7UtJgoXPVlt3jkW> to RSVP for the COE Ceremony. Have questions about the ceremony? Please visit the COE Commencement page<https://education.uoregon.edu/commencement> for information and updates.

University Commencement Ceremony
The university's official commencement ceremony starts at 9:00 am, Tuesday, June 20 at Autzen Stadium. All graduates are welcome to bring as many friends and family members as they would like-no tickets will be required, but they would like you to RSVP so they can get a count of attendees. Visit https://commencement.uoregon.edu/ for full details.

Grad Week at the Duck Store
The Duck Store's Grad Fair<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.uoduckstore.com/graduation-packages__;!!C5qS4YX3!QccCXaa7DpIQsknXv71SwieelHgiW-gyx3GX409HhaMthSvEIl35z6sDHbfuzmocng$> can be accessed online. Caps, gowns, and a wide array of other regalia and memorabilia will be available. Packages include a UOAA membership and Duck Store gift card.

Don't Forget to Apply For Your Degree
In order to receive your diploma from the Registrar's Office (these are mailed about 6 weeks after the end of the term in which you declare to graduate) you need to declare your intent to graduate.

If you are planning to graduate this spring, you must apply for your degree by April 30, 2023, for undergraduates, and by April 14, 2023 for graduate students.

Applying for your degree is different from opting in to participate in commencement. In order to receive a degree and get mailed your diploma, you must apply on DuckWeb<https://duckweb.uoregon.edu/> or GradWeb<https://gradweb.uoregon.edu/>.

Please feel free to stop by my office at HEDCO 130 or email me at lfortin at uoregon.edu<mailto:lfortin at uoregon.edu> with your questions.

Thanks,
Lisa
