Dear Faculty and Staff,

I hope you were able to scroll through the COE Equity and Inclusion newsletter that went out earlier this week. A few additional relevant updates:

  * PD Recommendations: Thank you to each of you for taking the time to respond to the Professional Development model survey last month. As the committee works now to describe the implementation model of our professional development, we'd love to hear from you about any equity and inclusion professional development opportunities you may have experienced recently that you'd like to recommend for the college's extended menu of options. Please submit any PD recommendations here: COE PD Recommendation Survey<https://oregon.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5oNyTsxPTFtIygu>

  * Emerson Sykes recording now available: The African American Lecture Series recording from Emerson Sykes October 26th session on "The Case for Free Speech and Racial Justice: Supporting Black activism on campus" is now available here https://inclusion.uoregon.edu/speaker-videos If you didn't get a chance to attend, the content is timely, comprehensive, and compelling with relevance across multiple audiences in the COE. I hope you get an opportunity to watch it.

  * COE Equity Challenge reminder: We hope you are able to participate in all or part of the COE Equity Challenge<https://blogs.uoregon.edu/coediversityequityinclusion/college-of-education-equity-challenge/>. The challenge will run from November 8th to December 9th, 2021. The challenge is comprised of brief pre-curated readings, videos, and other engagement opportunities that allow participants to come together over shared topics in the area of equity and inclusion and to jointly process the material and what it raises for us using an intentional system of engagement. Indicate your interest!<https://oregon.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2u8RM8kkhmTKpWC>
