ECS Announcement:

​Hi all,

The Ally Workgroup (a subcommittee of the Climate, Culture, and Equity Committee) will be starting up its second equity book club (the first was Dr. Bettina Love's We Want to Do More than Survive). This time we will read Dr. David Campt's Compassionate Warrior Boot Camp for White Allies (2018). It's an engaging, active read, with one brief (under 20-min.) activity a day for 30 days. We're going to read it once per workday, with Day 1 on September 14, Day 6 on September 21, and so on, continuing to the end of October. I've found it practical and useful for disrupting bias and microaggressions across work and personal life.
