coe-staff: Ongoing support for Jerry Tindal and family

Dear COE Community,

Sadly, we are all feeling the grief for Jerry and his family in the sudden loss of their son Karsten, and as a tight community we are struggling with what we can do to help the Tindal family.  There has been an outpouring of love and support from so many of you and we wanted to let you know of a few different ways that you can connect with JT and his family.

JT has requested that we wait until early September to begin the meal planning.  A website will soon be available and communicated for anyone wishing to participate.

Realizing that we might have memories and thoughts that we want to share with the Tindal family a secure website has been set up on behalf of the family at www.caringbridge.org/visit/tindals-lovethoughts<http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/tindals-lovethoughts>.  Please feel free to visit the website and share memories or messages of support.

Finally, for those of you who may be interested in locating some additional support for yourself in light of this week's sad news, the Employee Assistance Program offers a variety of supports through Cascade Centers https://hr.uoregon.edu/hr-programs-services/benefits/wellness-programs/employee-assistance-program and other community resources https://hr.uoregon.edu/hr-programs-services/work-life-resources.
