To the OSU Community:



It is my pleasure to announce that Dr. Toni Doolen, Dean of the University Honors College (UHC) will serve as Dean of the College of Education effective 1 July 2017, for a two year period. She will also continue to serve as Dean of the University Honors College.

Dr. Doolen has been on the faculty at Oregon State since 2001. She is a Professor in the School of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, where she also served as Associate Head for Undergraduate Programs. Toni was Associate Dean of the UHC prior to becoming Dean, and she is presently Executive Dean of the Division of Arts and Science.

Under Toni's leadership, the UHC has experienced tremendous growth and has continued as a national model for honors programs. Toni will bring very capable and seasoned leadership to the College of Education. I look forward to working closely with her and our Education faculty to move the College forward.

President Ray and I appreciate Toni's willingness to take on this vitally important leadership role. Once again, we offer our sincere appreciation to our esteemed colleague, Dr. Larry Flick, for his six-year leadership of the College of Education and long service to OSU.
