coe-staff: Adoption of our COE Strategic Framework

The following message is sent on behalf of Dean Randy Kamphaus:



Dear Faculty and Staff,



I am forwarding our recently adopted Strategic Framework entitled “Accelerating Excellence” that was approved recently by vote 25 to 3.  I think that the framework was supported because it represents both our past and future aspirations so well.

​In truth, we have been following this framework for many years because it is grounded in our long-term strengths.  This public expression of our vision, mission, values, and priorities now allows us to meet the newly stated goal of this framework - "Accelerating Excellence."  We have much to offer to the field of education and to the many related disciplines that benefit from our research and practice; as Nelson Mandela advises, "there is no passion to be found in playing small…”.



With our cadre of experienced and new faculty in place, our first-rate staff, and an increasingly diverse and talented student body, we are in position to achieve our over-arching goal.​  I look forward to working with you to achieve your ambitions.
