Greetings student, staff, and faculty colleagues.

I am very happy to inform you that our prevention science graduate programs were approved by the State of Oregon higher Ed commission (HECC) at its most recent meeting. This was the last step in a long process for approving and launching our new prevention science programs.  And this is wonderful news.

Special thanks to Leslie Leve for her leadership on the proposal and political homework involved in these new programs!!

Thanks to the participating faculty team for working many months last year to make this happen.

Special thanks to Elizabeth Skowron for her dedicated leadership of the current program that made our concept of "more and bigger" a reality.

And thanks to all our collaborators and colleagues across the COE and the Graduate School and Grad Council who helped us along the way.

Congratulations on a new era for our department and the COE!!
