coe-staff: DuckFunder applications open October 18

Good Morning,

The UO has created a crowdfunding application similar to Kickstarter. DuckFunder<https://duckfunder.uoregon.edu> is an online fundraising platform that enables UO students and faculty to create and share fundraising campaigns or projects with the global Duck community. This platform empowers organizations and individuals to come together to raise funds for specific initiatives you care about. Typical fundraising goals will be in the $1,000-$10,000 range.

Through the platform, you can:

  1.  Support, or solicit support for projects that inspire you while spreading the word to your networks to help project teams reach their goals
  2.  Keep up with project developments and outcomes
  3.  Explore exciting projects led by UO students and faculty
  4.  Secure tax-deductible contributions using the convenient crowdfunding platform

Applications are being accepted October 18 through November 8. Approved projects will be live on DuckFunder sometime in February 2016. If you are interested in applying, send an e-mail to duckfunder at uoregon.edu<mailto:%20duckfunder at uoregon.edu> to set up a one-hour meeting to discuss and assess the potential of your crowdfunding initiative. You may use the same e-mail address for general program questions.
