The following message is being sent to you on behalf of Ed Kame’enui, Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development:

Greetings,

I am pleased to announce that the Dean has approved the COE Career Non-Tenure Track Faculty (CNTTF) Promotion Committee for the 2017-2018 AY. Faculty nominations were solicited from across the full-range of faculty in the COE.

The CNTTF Promotion Committee is comprised of 9 members, of which 5 are CNTTF from across the academic departments and research and outreach units in the COE—our policy requires no less than 50% of the committee to include CNTTF. The committee also includes 3 tenure-track faculty. I want to congratulate and thank the members for their willingness to serve on this important committee.

The COE Career Non-Tenure Track Faculty (CNTTF) Promotion Committee for the 2017-2018 AY is comprised of the following faculty representatives:

TTF Academic Units

  1.  SPECS: Sylvia Thompson
  2.  EMPL: Keith Zvoch

CNTTF Academic Units

  1.  SPECS: Jantina Clifford
  2.  EDST: Abby Lane
  3.  CPHS: Surendra Subramani

CNTTF Research Units

  1.  Heather McClure, CEQP
  2.  Charlotte Alverson, DESTINY

Academic/Research Units

  1.  CPHS/CPAN TTF: Jeff Todahl
  2.  BRT/EMPL CNTTF: Julie Alonzo

The CNTTF Promotion Committee is currently scheduled to consider 4 cases for promotion (3 cases from research & outreach units and 1 case from the academic departments).

Our general timeline at this point is to begin to finalize files with the intent of making them available for external reviewers, if appropriate, beginning on November 15, 2017. We anticipate department or unit reviews to begin in January 2018, with cases submitted to the FPC in February 2018. Candidates are typically scheduled to meet with the Dean beginning in March 2018, with final dossiers forwarded to the Office of Academic Affairs by April 1, 2018.

I will be contacting members of the COE Career Non-Tenure Track Faculty (CNTTF) Promotion Committee soon to schedule our first meeting.
