coe-fac: CTL Reading Clinic Tutor Opportunity: Summer Term

Hello,

I write to seek your help in recruiting UO students to tutor in our CTL
Reading Clinic this summer. In 2013-2014, we are offering tutoring services
to struggling readers in the elementary grades, in Bethel School
District. Selected Bethel students will participate in two hours of small
group reading and writing instruction per day, Monday through Thursday each
week, delivered by trained tutors.

Our summer program takes place at Clear Lake Elementary, from 8:30 am -
10:30 am. Tutoring sessions will begin on July 7 and conclude on August 7.
 Training will be held in three, 2-hour sessions during the week of June
23. UO students may volunteer to tutor, or tutor for credit, with the
option of earning 1-2 credits depending on whether they teach a small group
every day or tutor for only 2 days per week. I am hoping you can share this
opportunity with your students or others in the community that may be
interested in gaining teaching experience.
