caps-news: Open Position at the UO: CASLS Director

The Center for Applied Second Language Studies (CASLS) at the University of Oregon is seeking a new visionary leader to serve as director. The director will take the center to new levels of excellence in pursuing our mission of improving the teaching and learning of languages. The successful candidate will articulate a vision for the future of language learning, for CASLS' role in creating that future, strategies for accomplishing these goals, and a business model to support that effort. 

We would greatly welcome your nominations and/or suggestions regarding prospective candidates, and also referrals to individuals who, like yourself, would be able to direct us to prospective candidates. These suggestions can be emailed directly to Mandy Lindgren, business manager, at mandyl at uoregon.edu. Please note that appropriate candidates may be either faculty members (with or without tenure) with program management experience or program managers with relevant academic training and teaching experience.
