Good Afternoon UO Travelers and Delegates:
All University of Oregon non-essential in-state, domestic, and international travel remains suspended indefinitely. If you have travel you deem “essential” here is how to petition for travel approval:
1.) Go to the Office of the Provost’s website<https://provost.uoregon.edu/travel-information> and complete the application form and Acknowledgement of Risk for travel approval. Your Request is reviewed and approved by the TAG committee (Travel Advisory Group of the COVID Incident Management team). Please allow adequate time for the TAG to review your safety plans and make recommendations.
2.) While waiting for approval, enter a pre-travel approval Request in Concur. Once the TAG has approved your travel, attach a copy of your approval and your signed Assumption of Risk form using the Attachment button and Submit for your normal departmental review and approval.
What is deemed “Essential” travel?
* maintenance of critical business functions;
* continuity of grant funding or completion of grant-required activities and deadlines;
* ability to meet contract deliverable requirements;
* timely and critical research and scholarship opportunities; and
* continuity in academic progress, degree completion, or graduation.
Tips:
· If you are traveling as a group, each person must seek both approval for travel and complete a Concur Request for their normal departmental approval.
· Each traveler must sign the Assumption of Risk form. The form may be signed electronically. A proxy may not sign the form for the traveler.
· Plan ahead: Please allow adequate time for the TAG to review your safety plans and make recommendations.
* See the Office of the Provost’s website for additional information about Personal Travel<https://provost.uoregon.edu/travel-information#personal>
