travelnews: UO Contract Airlines cancelled ticket guidelines and name changes

Good Morning UO Traveler and Travel Delegates -

Here is the latest on airline waivers.  Alaska, American and Delta all have options for a name change on cancelled tickets due to COVID.

United probably represents the most cancelled UO tickets and we are in conversation with our account representative to determine options for ticket name changes.

Tips for booking and changing tickets:

  *   No UO travel will be requested or approved until the UO travel suspension is lifted.  This will probably be a gradual opening.
  *   Do not book travel until your travel plans are solid and they are approved per UO guidelines.   Existing tickets will be allowed one change without penalty.  Do not waste your waiver on "tentative" plans
  *   All cancelled tickets must be processed/exchanged with the TMC (travel management company)
  *   When the UO travel suspension lifts and travelers are ready to consider new options, contact the travel agent (TMC) for the most current set of change guidelines for your unused ticket.
  *   Unused tickets are visible on the Concur Travel button:

  *   Coupons, vouchers and other airline credits that are not unused tickets will show on the UO Unused Ticket Report which is updated monthly and located on the UO travel webpage on the Travel Resources button:  https://ba.uoregon.edu/content/travel-resources
