travelnews: 2020 GSA Per Diem Rates announced

Good Morning UO Business Travelers and Delegates:



The General Services Administration (GSA) has announced their new lodging and meal per diem rates for 2020.  The GSA table is set for October through September, so new rates start Oct. 1   You can view these new rates by going to the GSA per diem website:  https://www.gsa.gov/travel/plan-book/per-diem-rates



Remember that GSA rates are based on the location of the traveler's business, rather than the airport used or the location of the hotel.



Note: Portland lodging per diem allowance will increase starting in October ($150/$184 in 2019 to $157/$192 for 2020) while Eugene lodging per diems will drop ($115 to $109).  Meal per diems remain the same.



Mileage allowance is administered by the IRS and they have not yet announced the 2020 rate.
