travelnews: Weather Alert - possible flight delays or cancellations

[BAO news for travel administrators]

To Campus Travel Coordinators -

A significant winter weather system is moving across the Midwestern U.S. and toward the nation's East Coast.  Numerous flight delays and cancellations should be anticipated at major airports in the days ahead.  Impacted cities will include Chicago, Philadelphia, New York City and Boston.  Up to 18 inches of snow and blizzard conditions are expected in some locations, making travel hazardous.

As always, travelers are advised to check flight status<http://www.flightstats.com/go/Home/home.do> prior to departing for the airport.  Individual airport conditions are available by visiting the FAA's website<http://www.fly.faa.gov/flyfaa/usmap.jsp>.
