Good Afternoon,

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Claire O'Connor and I am the President of the ASUO Senate. Please take the time to read this letter from the senate regarding Black Lives Matter. As representatives of our students, we have a duty to fulfill in ensuring the success and safety of our students. We as the ASUO Senate stand in solidarity with all Black students, faculty, and employees at UO. I thank you for all the work you do for our University and I simply ask that you take some time to acknowledge our voice because we serve a body larger than ourselves and we firmly believe that body has a right to be heard.
