Dear Students,

I am excited to report that the kickoff meeting for the Latinx Male Student Alliance was an outstanding success as fifteen students and seven faculty/staff/community leaders were able to attend and discuss important and relevant issues. The networking/compadreando session provided opportunities to learn from the personal stories of faculty/staff/community leaders.

This great success provides us an opportunity to continue building momentum for this initiative. Our next meeting will take place Tuesday, 28th, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm in 119 Lokey Education Building. I’d strongly encourage you to consider attending the meeting, if your schedule allows. This will be the final meeting for the fall term. Our agenda for the meeting will include students’ sharing their own UO success and challenge stories and discussion about next steps.

I hope to see you at the meeting, if you can make it. As finals and the end of term approaches, be sure to take great care of yourself!
