Hello LSGers, and sorry for the duplicate for those of you both on the DREAMers and LSG lists.

I will try to make this email as concise as possible. I will continue to send emails with useful information/resources as I get them.

1. Below is a copy of an email I sent to the students who the Registrar's Office has listed as tuition equity students. It includes resources which would be helpful for us to read, both in a link and in the attachments.

2. One of the resources is a Latinx faculty/staff ally list. We would like to create a different list that is specifically for DREAMer allies. Last time the return on the survey was very low and so I remade the survey and hope you can fill it out.

a. Please fill out this form if you want to be included as a DREAMers Ally.

OR

3. There is a meeting Monday, November 21st from 12-1:30pm in the Knight Library Collaboration Room 122.

a. There will be a couple LSG staff in attendance and we can report back to the group at our next LSG meeting.

4. The DREAMer committee will be up a website that should be done soon; finding safe spaces for students to meet; planning for Ally training; and creating more structure and organization to our working group.

Thank you. Rosa

Subject: Tuition Equity Student Support

Hello.

We hope this email finds you well. We have heard from many of our students that since last week's election, members of our community about the deep fear, anxiety that exists along with difficulty of focusing on classes. Many of us, myself included, are immigrants and we know the courage, strength, and determination it takes to build a new life in a new country. Part of that new life includes access to higher education. While we do not have the answers for what might pass after January 2017, we want you to know that many of us here on campus and in the community are here to support you.

I am including information in this email that includes information on a UO scholarship, information on DACA and other resources.
While I know that some of the information here has a focus on Latin@ students, know that we know, that our DACA, Tuition Equity and families of mixed-status students are diverse in race and ethnicity. Our goal is to increase the appropriate support we have for you, including information and a list of faculty and staff whom you can trust and turn to for guidance.

If you want to report an incident of bias on campus please feel free to report via the Dean of Students Office at https://dos.uoregon.edu/concern.

Please join us at Tarea Time - "homework" time every Monday, from 3:00 - 5:00 pm, in the Ramey Room of Carson Hall for drop in advising, support and a safe space to study.

If you are interested in receiving information in the future, please email me at rosaura at uoregon.edu<mailto:rosaura at uoregon.edu> so I can include you in emails. Your identity will be kept confidential and I will use it to send out information and resources, including hopefully soon a UO DEAMers webpage.

Thank you!
