Subject: Share your feedback! - Temporary Pedestrian Accessible Routes (TPAR) in Eugene

Hello!

The City of Eugene is looking for a community members who experience a disability to support the City's work in ensuring access through Eugene's construction zones for people with disabilities.

A Temporary Pedestrian Accessible Route (TPAR) is an area within a work zone, marked by signing, to help pedestrians navigate through or around a work zone.

The City of Eugene, in collaboration with an accessibility consultant, is developing a TPAR Manual that includes policies and practices for developing and maintaining TPAR in work zones. This Manual will guide City Engineering staff and private contractors to set up and maintain needed signs, barriers, and access in work zones so that any pedestrian, including folks experiencing disabilities, can navigate through or around and get where they need to go.

Community members who participate, will give feedback on the content of the TPAR Manual, especially considerations for people with varying disabilities.

Please email Lacey Johnson at ljohnson at eugene-or.gov<mailto:ljohnson at eugene-or.gov> if you are interested in participating with your name, email, phone number.

Let me know if you have any questions.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Lacey
