Subject: [AEC] Join the Disability Advocacy Committee!
Hi Student,
The AEC is excited to invite students to join our Disability Advocacy Committee<https://aec.uoregon.edu/disability-advocacy-committee> (DAC) for 2026! The DAC is a group of passionate volunteers who are dedicated to educating the campus community about disability, accessibility, and perspectives on access regarding UO events, spaces, and programs. The goal is to raise awareness of disability as an aspect of diversity, to identify/reflect on the barriers that students with disabilities face, to highlight diversity within disability experiences, and to address and to prioritize student perspectives and leadership in conversations about disability at UO.
The committee is supported/facilitated by AEC staff. If you would like to join the DAC, please review the detailed description of DAC<https://aec.uoregon.edu/disability-advocacy-committee>, and fill out the application form<https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=jxkLj0f0_ky6A1JrRsZh-G3nw39kbIVCrP3NrsLYOSFUMkZBUEcwMlg5WVpUQjUxQ1U0VjQwTUFXQy4u> by December 14 at 11:59pm. AEC will contact you after the application review period. We look forward to reviewing your application and potentially working with you!
We hope that you'll consider applying!
Best,

DREAMERS: As a child of immigrants and DREAMER ally, I support all students regardless of immigration status or country of origin. Remember, when interacting with faculty, staff, and offices around campus you are never required to reveal your status. For more information and resources please visit the UO Dreamers<https://www.uoregon.edu/uo-dreamers> website at: https://www.uoregon.edu/uo-dreamers
Designated Reporter: I am a Designated Reporter. which means that I am required to report all incidents of prohibited discrimination and harassment including sexual harassment and violence that I learn about to the UO Office of Equal Opportunity and Access (OEOA). An OEOA team member will follow up with you to offer information, resources, and any available options for addressing what was reported. You can receive support without participating in a formal university process and without sharing additional information. Student agency is important to me and to the OEOA team.
