Hello UO Disability Studies community,

I am excited to share that I will be teaching a graduate-level studio in interior architecture. In this course, my students will explore hypothetical program and design ideas for Disability Studies and outreach program. The students will develop a multi-use outreach, resource, and cultural center managed by the UO Disability Studies program. This center will support students, faculty, and regional communities by connecting resources and celebrating inclusive design and independent living.

Although this project is entirely hypothetical, it would be wonderful to create an ideal environment that could benefit both us and the community. If you have any ideas about what would be ideal settings for your research, student learning, and community outreach, we would love to hear them.
We will be using the Baker Downtown Center and collaborating with the Continuing and Professional Education program.

One idea we have is to include a small theater space for performing arts and an event/gallery space.

Best regards,
Kyuho
