A friendly reminder ...

Note: Special Collections is located in Knight Library. When you enter from the west entrance coming from the campus quad, you will go straight to a set of stairs that lead to the second floor. As you go up the stairs, you will pass two giant murals on both sides of the staircase. Once on the second floor, you will go down a short hallway and the reading room is located just on the left. It is the historic part of the library, built as a WPA project in the 1930s.

If anyone has "blue path" or wheelchair-accessible directions, please share.

Colleagues,

I am very thrilled to inform you that I have been able to confirm that Dr. Lissa Stapleton at CSU Northridge, Department of Deaf Studies, will come talk about her current research on Black Deaf history and education. I will be mounting a small exhibit on that topic in the Special Colletions hallway.

The event will occur in the Knight Library, Special Collections Reading Room, on Thursday, February 27th at 3-5pm. I've attached more information about the talk and about Dr. Stapleton.
