Hi Heidi,

I don't know if something like this can go on the disability listserv but thought I would share it just in case.

Cheers,
Julie

SUBJECT: Choirs for Everyone - please support my idea

Hello family and -friends, I am applying for a grant to do a project which is called Choirs for Everyone. To apply I created a 90 second video describing my idea. The grant is called the Holman Prize and is in memory of a blind traveler/adventurer who lived in the 19th century.

My video is here: https://youtu.be/x-BDVn_JNP0.

Part of the contest involves getting people to vote for the video ( "like" the video which means clicking the thumbs up button). Please follow the link and "like" it so that I can get votes - then forward the link to anyone who might be interested. If I get the most votes then I will automatically be a finalist. DEADLINE FOR VOTING IS MARCH 7TH!

The prize is $25,000, it is offered world wide and three people win.
Last year's winners are really interesting - you can learn more about them here: https://holman.lighthouse-sf.org/

My project is creating a "toolkit" for choir directors to help them make their choirs more accessible to blind people and the other part is helping community, religious and educational choirs do outreach to find blind participants in their communities.

Thanks for reading, voting and sharing!
Cheers,
Rachel
