Please join us for AEC's 2017 Disability Awareness Event with Maysoon Zayid!

Maysoon is an internationally-acclaimed Palestinian-American writer, actor, and comedian. Her comedy cheerfully smashes open stereotypes of gender, ethnicity, and disability, insisting that "the world is broken, but I have come to the conclusion that we can fix it" (TEDxAthens 2014). She is co-founder/co-executive producer of the New York Arab-American Comedy Festival and tours internationally. She also spends several months a year leading arts advocacy workshops for disabled refugee youth in the Palestinian Territories. Her viral 2013 TEDWomen talk can be accessed here: https://www.ted.com/talks/maysoon_zayid_i_got_99_problems_palsy_is_just_one.
