Please join us at a COMMUNITY FORUM ON OREGON GROUP HOMES [1]

SATURDAY MAY 13, 10AM – NOON

CAMPBELL SENIOR CENTER | 155 HIGH ST, EUGENE, OR 97401

The I/DD services system has been evolving since Fairview closed in 2000, and Oregon is far from accomplishing the goal of supporting people with I/DD. We’ve recently released a report that shines a light on some of the faults in Oregon’s support system. At this public forum we’ll share what we’ve learned about the I/DD services system, and hear stories and ideas from stakeholders about how we can improve the system together.

        * Meet other consumers, DSPs, and family members in your area
        * Share stories about your experience in the I/DD system
        * Develop ideas together about how we can improve I/DD services
        * Learn how you can take action and organize for systems change

CareWorks is a network of seniors, people with disabilities and the people who care for them, parents and families who care for their loved ones. Tens of thousands of Oregonians provide and rely on long term care and support services. By coming together to advocate and act, we can change the way care is valued.
