Our expectations for board membership are to attend our monthly meetings which are on the second Tuesday from 130 until 330 at LILA ,20 East 13th ave.
We will excuse absences with advance notice.
The terms are for either one or two years.
There is no minimum length of service and we have application forms at LILA as well as on line. The best way to begin is for a potential candidate to attend a meeting ,observe,ask questions and introduce themselves.
Then we review the application ,check references,and vote on acceptance.
Board members help guide our agency.We have reports from our director and,usually ,from a staff member. We have subcommittees that any member may volunteer to join or head up a new one.

We reach out to you because you have students interested in Disability Studies and we would like more collaboration with the University as well as more diversity on our board.(We are all presently over 60 years of age and are all Caucasian.) We are mandated to have a majority of members identify as having a disability.
We have four men and three women with six of us having a disability.
