The Call for Proposals has been up and running and we love the proposals we have received so far. With over 18 topic areas to choose from, we know we are going to have an interesting conference! But without you, maybe not as great! We invite you to take a look at the conference website and consider putting pen to paper and hitting the SEND button.

This conference feels different. It feels as if we are pushing the envelope here, really getting down deep into discussions that will shape how we see the future, what we want to focus on,  how we should focus and with whom. Rather than being led by grant opportunities, we may ask ourselves - what is it that can really push diversity into a place of meaning for all people. We even have experiential sessions next year that have the potential to rock the boat a little, help us to see things differently - that kind of thing.

In 2016, we will offer interesting areas of inquiry, which together form a holistic and solid foundation for exploring the conference theme - From the Margins to the Center. We wish to explore the economic, social, cultural, political and environmental aspects of marginalization and offer solutions, ideas and pathways to its demise, stimulating action plans towards advancing diversity - true diversity - in all aspects of life. We are starting to line up our keynotes on the website. Important dates to consider: Registration <http://www.pacrim.hawaii.edu/sites/all/modules/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=732&qid=289142> opens on November 16, 2015.  The conference is in April next year so that means the CFP will end earlier than usual - In December. Start planning now! The Hotel blocks will be up on the website the last week of November. We are excited to read your proposals and we simply cannot wait until April 2016! Call or email with your ideas - we are here for you and look forward to seeing your proposals, and collaborating with you. We want your presence here in Hawai'i!
