Upcoming Travel Trainings and informational  opportunities:



*         Travel Training



o   Travel Policy  -  Thursday, Oct. 30 from 1:15p.m. to 5:00p.m.

The Travel Policy class can also be attended as a refresher for experienced travel coordinators.


o   Travel Forms  -  Friday, Oct. 31 from 1:15p.m. to 5:00p.m.
Travel training for new travel coordinators for preparing travel reimbursements using the Duckweb travel reimbursement form.  Travel Policy class is a pre-requisite to the Travel Forms class.

Location:  BAO Conference Room, Oregon Hall 135.

*         Lunchtime Travel Talk  - Tuesday, November 18 from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

o   "Who, What, When, Where, Why and How - Writing an Effective Business Purpose"  - Brooke will discuss why the business purpose is so important and the components to consider when you are writing one for your airfare purchase, your travel reimbursement or a travel advance request.  She will include examples of both effective and ineffective business purpose.

Location:  EMU Walnut Room.  Seating is limited to 40.

*         Lunchtime Travel Talk  - Tuesday, December 16 from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

o   "The ABCs of Comparison Airfare Quotes" - Conny will discuss when an airfare quote is required and how to obtain one - both at the time of ticket purchase and how to correctly obtain a set of future quotes.  She will show reimbursement samples to help you determine if you need a quote and will discuss various websites and how to print the quote.
