Good Morning Travel Coordinators -

Please pass onto your travelers that the U.S. Transportation Security Administration has directed screeners at "certain overseas airports with direct flights to the United States" to ensure passengers' electronic devices can be powered up. Cell phones and other mobile devices that cannot be powered on "will not be permitted onboard the aircraft," according to a statement from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Travelers holding such devices may be subjected to "additional screening."

For additional information about the new security screening requirements, please see http://www.cnn.com/2014/07/07/travel/airport-security-new-measures/index.html?hpt=tr_c2

Have a nice Friday,
