IACUC Module Project - August Update

[Research Administration Portal]

PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI) is implementing a new institutional animal care and use committee (IACUC) tool to support animal research in early 2022. This initiative is part of the phased implementation of the Research Administration Portal (RAP)<https://research.uoregon.edu/manage/research-administration-portal>.

PROJECT STATUS: On-track

COMPLETED TASKS

  *   Design sessions with the vendor to finalize system requirements.

CURRENT TASKS

  *   Finalize and approve proposed requirements
     *   The project team has compiled a list of proposed requirements for the system.
     *   The requirements have been reviewed with IACUC stakeholders for feedback.
     *   Final system requirements will be approved by the VPRI.
  *   Project communication update to the IACUC community
     *   The team is drafting a communication that will be sent to the broader IACUC community providing a brief project update and next steps.
     *   This communication is planned to be sent late-August or early-September.

UPCOMING TASKS

  *   System development
     *   Once the requirements are approved, the vendor will begin an iterative system configuration and implementation process.
     *   Each iteration will be tested by the project team.
     *   System development is likely to begin shortly and will take a couple months to complete.
