The Women's Health Program in the Oregon Public Health Division supports sexual violence prevention in Oregon by: administering rape prevention and education (RPE) funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and by participating on a statewide sexual violence prevention planning committee to implement recommendations to prevent sexual violence in Oregon.

What will you do?
As the Rape Prevention Education Coordinator, you will plan, implement, evaluate, and forge new collaborations and partnerships with workplaces, institutions, and communities statewide to identify and implement change, based on the best available evidence. You will also provide expert training and technical assistance to RPE funded organizations and partners to implement sexual violence prevention strategies. This position will assist the OHA Maternal and Child Health Section and Center for Prevention and Health Promotion to provide leadership and strengthen the state and local maternal and child health systems.

In this position, you will develop policy, coordinate the program, perform quality improvement, and provide consultative advice and evaluation expertise both internally to PHD staff and externally to other state agencies, local domestic violence agencies, and community-based organizations. This position makes recommendations to section and center management regarding policy and program needs and modifications and develops guidelines and standards for program implementation and operations. The position works across the center, with primary responsibility to the Maternal and Child Health Section.

What are we looking for?
Requested Skills

  *   Minimum requirements: A bachelor's degree in public health or a related field AND four years of professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning experience related to public health; OR any combination of experience and education equivalent to seven years of professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning experience related to public health.
  *   Experience working with violence prevention programs, especially sexual violence.
  *   Experience providing expert level training and technical assistance.
  *   Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  *   Experience performing research, analyzing data, and creating reports.
  *   Experience working with public health quality improvement programs and tools.
  *   Experience developing and implementing programs, which includes creating policies, guidelines, and standards.
  *   Experience in cultural responsiveness and health equity.
  *   Experience working well independently as well as leading a team.
  *   Experience monitoring and tracking legislation and evaluating bills for program impact.
  *   Excellent planning, time management and project coordination skills.
  *   Experience partnering and collaborating with a diverse number of agencies and communities.
  *   Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  *   Experience promoting a culturally competent and diverse work environment.
