*_Position Summary: _*
OSU-Cascades, located in Bend, Oregon, invites applications for a
full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, fixed-term Faculty Research Assistant
position. This appointment is expected to last approximately 12 months
from the hire date, and may be extended for approximately 5 years,
subject to availability of grant funding.
This position will have the opportunity to work under the guidance of
Dr. Shannon Lipscomb who is Co-Principal Investigator of a grant to
examine the interactive effects of young children’s social environments
and flame retardant exposures on their learning and development. The
study will be conducted across both the Corvallis and Cascades campus;
with this position being located at the Cascades Campus.
This position exists to provide leadership to the Cascades Campus team
in conducting the above-mentioned research and will have the opportunity
to collaborate with the Faculty Research Assistant(s) on the Corvallis
campus, with supervision and support from Dr. Lipscomb and faculty in
Corvallis (Kile, McClelland, MacDonald, Geldhof, and Anderson).
*_Minimum Qualifications:_*
* Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Child Development,
Human Development and Family Sciences, Education, Educational
Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Psychology, Counseling, Social
Work, or other closely related field.
* Excellent written and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
* Experience supporting and/or supervising teams to collaboratively
achieve project goals.
* Experience with quantitative data (database management, design,
and/or analysis).
* Experience contributing to research reports or papers, grant
reports, and presentations
* Experience partnering with parents, teachers and/or schools.
* Computer related skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, and
Internet navigation.
* A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity and
inclusion.
