The Stress Neurobiology and Prevention (SNAP) Lab is looking for
graduate level coaches to work on a federally funded, randomized control
trial led by Drs. Philip Fisher (PI), Elliot Berkman (Co-I) and Nicole
Giuliani (Co-I).

Filming Interactions to Nurture Development (FIND) is a strength based
video coaching program for caregivers of young children. FIND uses video
to reinforce and strengthen naturally occurring, supportive interaction
between young children the adults in their lives.

This study will recruit families eligible for Early Head Start services
and aims to (1) quantify main effects of FIND on intervention targets
(changes in responsive caregiving) and related caregiver and child
outcomes, (2) Use fMRI to identify process-level neural mechanisms
underlying FIND intervention effects (i.e., why FIND works) and
variations in these effects (i.e., for whom FIND works), and (3)
determine moderations of intervention impact including child and
caregiver variables and intervention fidelity and dosage. Participants
will be randomly assigned to receive FIND coaching or an active control
coaching program.

As a coach on this project you will:

  * Learn an innovative video coaching program
  * Have the opportunity to earn research or practicum credit
  * Commit to a minimum of 10 hours/week (i.e. a minimum caseload of 3
families) for a minimum of 9 months
  * Conduct home-visits in the Eugene/Springfield area. Coaches will
have the opportunity to coach on both FIND and the active control.
  * Participate in weekly, group consultation meetings.

This will be for the 19-20 school year.

Preference will be given to those with availability over summer and
academic breaks. There is an opportunity for paid work during these periods.

Preference will be given to those fluent in Spanish and English.

For more details, please contact Kyndal Yada atkyndaly at uoregon.edu
