Amanda,
It would be actual hours worked from first day to end of the month. They wouldn't be limited to the 60% in this case.

Hi Anita!
Thanks for this instruction! Quick question, are we to use 60% of wages for the hours already worked (like other pay advances) OR are we to use the actual hours worked from the first shift up through the last day of the month (or other end point)?
Thank you!
Amanda

Subject: payroll: 35 day Rule Payments
Hello all!
There were some excellent questions raised regarding how to handle payments for employees affected by the 35-day rule. After considering all relevant factors, it has been determined that employees falling under the 35-day rule should receive a payroll advance. The department administrator can complete the payroll advance form on behalf of the employee and note in the comments section that the advance is due to the 35-day rule.
* Processing the payment as a payroll advance helps prevent potential overpayments, as the hours will still load into Banner, reducing the risk of missing a manual adjustment.
* Additionally, treating the payment as a payroll advance eliminates the need for manual leave adjustments when processing an MCR for hours. The system will automatically calculate the correct leave accruals when time is entered.
Both the electronic and paper versions of the payroll advance form can be accessed at the bottom of this link<https://ba.uoregon.edu/payroll/payroll-advance>.
