Updates

  * Staffing: Lisa Knox is our new Payroll Operations Manager. She can be reached at 6-3092 or lisaknox at uoregon.edu<mailto:lisaknox at uoregon.edu>. She is also available on Teams<https://teams.microsoft.com/l/chat/0/0?users=lisaknox@uoregon.edu>.

Reminders

  * May Triple: Spreadsheets for employees who should not be tripled are due by Wednesday, May 11th, 2022. Please review the information regarding the May Triple Deduction process on the Business Affairs website: https://ba.uoregon.edu/payroll/may-triple-deduction. The spreadsheets should be emailed to lisaknox at uoregon.edu<mailto:lisaknox at uoregon.edu>. If you would like a list of your employees that will be tripled please contact Lisa Knox at lisaknox at uoregon.edu<mailto:lisaknox at uoregon.edu> with the Timesheet Orgs that you have access to.

  * Help Us Go Paperless!: Regular monthly earnings statements are always available on DuckWeb and the Payroll office is strongly encouraging everyone to sign up for the paperless option via DuckWeb. Printed earnings statements will be delivered via Campus Mail to departments based on the Org name listed on the earnings statement. If your department must mail paper earnings statements to employee addresses on file, a mail slip will need to be provided to Mail Services with the index to be billed for the postage and handling.

  * Mailing Address Update: Please have employees check and update their mailing address on DuckWeb. If they make a change, please have them contact payroll at uoregon.edu<mailto:payroll at uoregon.edu>, so that we can update it with PERS as that does not automatically update.

  * SEIU CBA: Here are a few highlights regarding the latest CBA:
     * February 1, 2022 Selective Salary Adjustments: Employees in eligible classifications were moved to new salary ranges effective February 1, 2022, but their pay rate stayed the same as did their salary eligibility date. Employees should receive their next merit increase on their next salary eligibility date.
     * July 1, 2022 COLA: The next COLA goes into effect on July 1, 2022 and is approximately 2.5%.
     * Hourly Bilingual Differential Article 20, Section 3 (A): Employees whose position description does not require bilingual skills but are required by their supervisor to utilize bilingual skills will be paid $1.00 per hour on top of their base rate for that work with a minimum of half an hour per day in which it occurs. This should be reported using the earn code DBL with the hours at the special rate of $1.00. For example, one and a half hours of work should be reported as below:
        *   DBL        1.50        @ $1.00
