Pay attention with Philips data. As far as I know it cannot save separate b0 and typically b0s are averaged into one volume. So typically the 34 volumes are 32 DWI + 1 b0 + 1 average DWI. The latter needs to be discarded and is not to be confused with a B0.

Hello,

Dianne is correct. gzip is typically installed on any Linux distribution.

FYI, the output of .nii.gz files is a planned feature for MRIConvert. I do not have a firm time frame, but this will be included in a future 2.1.x release.

Convert them to *nii.gz images by running gzip on them...simple as that.

Hi,
I have been convert some DTI images (from Philips) to fsl NIFTI format using MRIconvert v2.0.4 biuld 286.Our DTI secquence were recorde along 32 directions together with two b0 image.after convert i got 34 NIFTI images(in img/hdr format) and one .bvecs and one .bvals.Since i want to preprocessing these DTI data using FSL software,i am goning to need the NIFTI images in one *.nii.gz file(not in 34 *.img files).I wondering if i can just compress these images, say using "fslmerge", into one *.nii.gz or if these are other ways to do it? and if i could use fslmerge what order should i arrange these images?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Best!
